These are fun online drumming classes, designed to introduce the children to the fantastic world of drumming and rhythm. They will learn basic hand drumming techniques, sounds and rhythms, from the comfort of home!
They will learn how to understand simple rhythmic subdivisions, and build basic rhythmic phrases. The children will discover popular rhythms and learn how to play them along to music. Last but not least, the will have fun through group activities and rhythmic games, designed to improve their musical interaction and listening skills. And all from the comfort of home.
Drumming is a fantastic way to exercise coordination, listening skills, and multi-tasking. Rhythm is the foundation of music, and an early development of a good sense of rhythm, opens the way for any instrument your child may wish to learn in future.
The classes are for children 8-12 yrs old on Tuesdays, from 3pm – 4pm. This is an online course delivered over Zoom. No account creation is required, we recommend the use of headphones.
