We are a retail shop, art gallery and workshop space, ideally located in Galway City Centre, in the heart of Galway’s Westend. Just Art It provides a beautiful space where people can slow down, feel good and find just what they need to connect to their own creativity.

Our beautiful store offers a curated selection of artist quality art materials, a wide range of original printmaking artwork by professional Irish artists, a great collection of prints designed and produced in-house, framing service, and a wide range of art classes, music courses, printmaking workshops and cultural events throughout the year.
From the very beginning, our vision for our specialised shop has been to bring a selection of high-quality art products, working directly with producers and independent family businesses. We are proud to be the first in introducing international leading brands to our local market for our artist community.
Our art gallery specialises in printmaking, promotes and sells original printmaking artworks from professional artists from the West of Ireland. We are artists, and we support artists! We constantly include new artists, and add new works to our wide range of original limited print editions including our very own!
In our times of mass production there is still space for hand crafted projects. Our creative studio develops sustainable stationary and gift sets, manufactured to promote zero-waste & sustainable practice. We are printmakers, and we have a passion for hand-printing! Our creative studio produces from concept to customer, we value quality over quantity, and we hand-craft with love just for you! Take a quick look!
Just Art It brings Galway’s best framing service right to the city centre, since September 2019. We offer our framing service in partnership with THE FRAME SHOP, a third generation Galway family business. There is no challenge too big for our framers!!

Our classes and courses are perfect for connecting with your creativity, and learning new skills in our fully equipped and comfortable studios. We offer oil painting courses, drawing classes, printmaking workshops and drumming courses for adults. We also love working with children and young people in our after shcool art classes all year around! Check out our summer camps!
Just Art It was founded by visual artist Elena Santos in 2017. She designed the shop inspired by her childhood memories of the local stores in her native Spain.
My favourite shop when I started studying in art school, was my local hardware store. I remember the smell of the shop, the staff wearing the blue work coats and how everything, even a single screw, was sold by weight and wrapped in craft paper!
Elena always wanted to bring back the essence of that shopping experience where expertise and kindness behind the counter, combined with the attention to details and quality makes every customer feel welcome and in good hands!
Elena had come all the way to Ireland to pursuit the opportunity to open her own creative business where she could combine all her skills under the same roof. Just Art It means fulfilling this life long dream.

When the global pandemic hit our lives in 2020, we took the time to reflect and reinvent our business considering the new normal.
In July, we started by reopening the doors of Just Art It as Creative Studio, adding new services, a new line of work and products designed, produced and edited in-house.
We have restructured the shop space, extended the art gallery and redesigned our workshop area, to continue providing a safe and relaxed experience for our customers and students.
Our shop is a quiet and peaceful place, which allows our customers to slow down while browsing, and to find time for themselves.
Shortly after, we launched our new line of music classes and courses in our newly added premises right next door to Just Art It, expanding our family business.
In November Elena and Alan announce their new creative business Soundtrack & Podcast, combining their creative strength, their artistic skills and their passion in this new venture!
Our vision is to bring a wealth of creativity to our community, and make sound and music an accessible tool for everyone to connect and communicate.

Meet the Just Art It team.
Elena Santos
Professional visual artist, qualified art teacher and printmaker with over twenty years of artistic and educational experience.
Original from Spain, she graduated from both the Art School of Oviedo and the University of Salamanca with MA qualification in Fine Arts. Over the years she has participated in numerous exhibitions and she has collaborated with several art and cultural projects in Galway and abroad. Elena moved to Ireland in 2012, and she established herself as an integral member of Galway’s cultural life and business community. Elena operates from Just Art It, her own business and studio workspace which opened in 2017 in the heart of Galway’s Westend.
Alan Preims
Professional musician, composer and music teacher tutored by some of the most renowned percussionists in Italy, UK, and Cuba.
Alan has been living in Ireland for more than 20 years, where he’s been working as a musician, sharing the stage with many bands and orchestras in premium Irish venues, including the Late Late Show, the Olympia Theatre and Whelan’s in Dublin and many more. Alan has regularly toured abroad, performing at high level festival and events in the US. For many years he has worked as a drum and percussion teacher in a number of music schools in Galway City and County. Alan has studied music composition with Berklee School Of Music, and focuses on composing and producing music soundtracks for visual media.
