Description
Collagraph, or sometimes spelled Collagraphy, is a relief-printing process and an introduction to additive techniques. This is a very creative process which involves attaching shapes, fibres and textured mediums onto a rigid surface which will be our printing plate. This technique allows us to experiment with different textures, and to ink with different colours at the same time on one plate. It creates wonderful results!
You will work with your own designs and you will learn at your own pace in a relaxed atmosphere. Elena will do demonstrations and guide you in the process of creating your own prints. This weekly course* will also cover the use and maintenance of printmaking tools, and of the studio’s printing press, printing process planification and paper handling, the fundamentals of colour mixing, inking and print registration.
