Description
Lino Printing, or linocut, is a printmaking technique, and one of the most used techniques in Relief Printmaking. In this course you will learn how to carve your own designs on a linoleum plate for making an edition of prints in one colour. You will explore the Chiné Collé technique for introducing a second colour onto your prints.
This 3 week course will also cover the use and maintenance of printmaking tools and of the printing press, hand printing technique; printing process planification and paper handling, the fundamentals of colour mixing, inking and print registration.
Groups are for a maximum of 6 people per group on Wednesday evening 7-9pm or Thursday morning 11am to 1pm. Everything you need to complete this course is provided and included in the fee of the course. You are welcome to bring visuals, photographs or sketches as a source of inspiration to create your own lino design.
