Screen Printing Manual Techniques 6 week Course

Screen Printing Manual Techniques 6 week Course

Product description
Terms & Conditions

This new 6-week course offers an engaging introduction to the fundamentals of screen printing using manual techniques. Designed for beginners as well as those who would like to refresh or expand their skills, the course will guide you step by step through the process of creating original prints by hand.

Throughout the course, we will explore two accessible and creative approaches to screen printing: hand-cut silhouettes and direct drawing methods. These techniques allow you to develop bold, graphic images and experiment with layering, texture, and colour while learning the core principles of screen printing.

During the sessions, you will learn how to:

  • Design and prepare your own images for screen printing

  • Create stencils using hand-cut silhouette techniques

  • Draw directly onto screens to produce expressive printed marks

  • Mix and prepare inks suitable for printing on paper

  • Register and layer colours to build multi-colour prints

  • Pull consistent, high-quality prints by hand

By the end of the course, you will have produced several original hand-pulled prints, including multi-colour works that you can proudly take home and frame. The emphasis of the course is on experimentation, creativity, and gaining confidence with the tools and processes used in screen printing.

Who is this course for?
No previous experience is required. The course is ideal for complete beginners who would like to discover screen printing for the first time. It is also perfect for students who have previously taken one of our hand-cut silhouette courses and would like to refresh their skills or continue developing their practice.

To ensure a supportive and focused learning environment, the class is limited to a maximum of 8 students, allowing plenty of individual guidance and feedback.

What to Expect

Guided Learning, Personal Expression

You’ll learn essential techniques and how to use different tools and materials — but more importantly, you’ll be supported in developing your own artistic voice. Our experienced instructors are here to guide you step by step while encouraging personal style and exploration.

Small Groups, Big Connection

Our classes are intentionally kept small so we can focus on individual attention and build meaningful connections. You’ll find time for one-to-one guidance, group sharing, and moments of creative inspiration sparked by those around you.

Care for Space, Tools & Each Other

Part of creativity is caring for the space and tools we share. We learn to respect the materials and keep our studio welcoming for everyone — building not just artistic skills, but mindfulness and appreciation for the process.

Respect for Time & Flow

We begin and end on time to keep the rhythm of our sessions flowing smoothly. This helps us create a focused, relaxed atmosphere where everyone’s time is respected and creativity has space to grow.

Creativity Lives in All of Us

Everyone has a creative spark. You don’t need prior experience — just a curiosity to explore. Our art and drumming courses are designed to gently guide you in reconnecting with your creative side, no matter where you're starting from.

A Supportive & Inclusive Community

We believe creativity blossoms in a kind and respectful environment. Our studio is a space where everyone is welcome. We value collaboration over competition and treat one another with care — in words, actions, and shared space.
